should we pay for the info on the internet?

I understand that free and fast information on the internet is very harmful to newspaper companies, but it benefits us as a consumer. I dont want to have to pay to hear about our president dying or something of that sort. i think its good that i can just look it up for free and find out, or watch tv. Besides, everything cost so much these days, and now that we're in a recession, prices are rising. Now people want us to pay to get information? Thats ridiculous! Also, if blogging is replacing normal ways of journalism, so be it. Times are changing and we need to get with it. Just like tv went completely digital, journalism will eventually become mainly internet based.

  1. I agree that journalism will probably be completely digital eventually, but we already pay for internet, that's never been free.

  2. I totally agree with you Shaia i think that as a consumer we have a responsibility to find free and easy information to read and sometimes people don't have easy access to newspaper articles and it seems easier to either turn on the t.v or go in the internet, plus you save money and right now our economy is not doing so well and we need all the money we can get plus we already pay for internet and cable on T.V. so we do have a right to watch the news an easier way to get the news and faster.
